Rules I’m setting for my alien project:

No humanoids.

No aircraft carriers in space.

No instantly being able to speak perfect English. Actually aiming for no interest in actually communicating with humans at all.

Thinking something Lovecraftian along the lines of either fungal or deep sea creature, I’m picturing them as evolving in a high gravity/high pressure environment.

No beaming up?
