The problem: A lot of us were sure that demographics were on our side last month and went into Election Night convinced that even if turnout was poor, it would be a narrow victory in our favor. What last month proved is that it doesn’t matter how liberal the next generation is or how supportive of Dems that minority voters are if they don’t bother to show up to vote.
