Did they, really? We know Bush won the election, we know attack ads aired, and that’s about it. I have no idea as to the marginal electoral value per ad, both attack and non-attack.
Well, in any case, the GOP decided that they worked and doubled down on them in 2008. When they didn’t work. And the GOP being what it is, they double-doubled down in 2012…and lost again because, according to their analysts and lumiaries, too many minorities want free stuff…
