Forgot about Lonegan’s gov run.

That makes Chrisite’s decision to go back on his “No special elections” pledge even funnier: he was just as afraid of Lonegan’s rep hurting him as he was Booker’s.

I think Christie and Booker have a wink-nod deal not to campaign/race against the other, even if it’s via surrogates. They’re both looking at higher office in the future, and figure that this way helps both out.

That and the fact that they’re both friendly towards the other and would probably work quite well with each other, as compared to the nonstop bickering as between Christie and Lautenberg and Menendez.
