The Prosperity Gospel strikes me as one of the most blasphemous ideas out there….

Aren’t there passages in the Gospels that directly address this? For that matter, wasn’t one of Christianity’s selling points the social control you get from telling people that the crappier their lives are, the more glorious their afterlife?

Doesn’t that kind of fly in the face of the Prosperity Gospel?
