I once read a column in Road & Track, written by the guy who restores old English sports cars for fun. He had a hankering for a Morgan, so he went to check out one listed in the classifieds.

As he went through it, he’d comment some compnent needed fixed or replaced, and the owner would respond, “Yeah, but you can get one from (some vendor)”.

Eventually, they had gone through everything and the owner asked, “Well, what do you think?”

The writer said it seemed like everything was bad on it except the steering wheel. “It’s a nice steering wheel, but it’s not worth $4500.”
