Yes, but you can’t build nuclear plants and produce the fuel without a great deal of fossil fuel being used. Population growth control is the only way to reduce this base load consuming fuel, food, products, resources. Life in the USA is very carbon intensive, and even the most ambitious schemes to roll out alternatives over the coming decades is offset if there is a large increase in the base population load.
