Have we ever had a president as disliked as Trump? He’s never gotten to 50% approval, he hasn’t been under 50% disapproval since his first two weeks on the job. Reagan had terrible numbers by January 1983, but he’d been as high as 68% and sort of rebounded.

W ended in the mid-20s, but he had to detonate the economy to get there. It never seemed at all as personal as the disdain for Trump.
