Two of the three first states have been caucuses and the other a primary that borders his home state. And if he is the true front runner, he should be reaching out more. He’s going to be the face of a party he’s never formally joined. Maybe his surrogates on and offline could try to be a little less jerky.

His vocal supporters, especially on Twitter, appear to not be very party-oriented at all. Along with all that implies about helping other party candidates, etc. etc. If anything, they are deniers of party activity in general (viva le revolution) and probably think the *both sides* equally bad for America. It’s just that the Democrats are the convenient body to be parasitic on since independent 3rd party runs in this country are pretty much DOA.

Which seems to match Bernie Sanders political career as well.
