Remember the Stalinist show trial where the state defendant simply got up and said that due to the heinous nature of the crimes his client had committed, he simply could not present any legal defense?

Wasn’t there one show trial where a “defendant” addressed the court and stated his case that his crimes were so monstrous, so heinous and appalling, that he deserved nothing less than summary execution?

Or am I remembering something else, maybe some work of satirical fiction?
