what does mars smell like?

seriously, i heard somebody ask a moon astronaut what the moon smelled like - he said that um, duh, you couldn’t really smell anything with a spacesuit on, but that the moonrocks smelled “like gunpowder”

I read an article a while back about what space itself smells like. Apparently, once you get out of the suits, they smell of something acrid or metallic, although some people also describe seared steak.
