If what they’re trying to do is block the traffic, then that’s dumb. I have no idea why any protester ever thought that tying up bridge traffic was somehow a good way to make a point. We’ve all been stuck in traffic on bridges, it sucks, and willfully doing that to other people just seems mean.

What is gained by it?

It seems to be the theme of the day. They’re trying to shut down freeways and bridges in Seattle and Portland too.
