Hard to explain to anyone why, after passing both houses of Congress and being signed into law, a less-than-radical national health-care system should a year later be scrapped and replaced with absolutely nothing. Even harder to explain how a noisy minority can hold the entire fookin’ nation hostage over something THAT IS ALREADY LAW.

Like 2-year-olds

As one of my students pointed out, a segment of the GOP is acting like children who can’t get their way. As she also pointed out, what’s even scarier is that many of these folks are heavily armed and itching for an armed confrontation.

Another student piped up, “They’d never get away with here - they police would simply round them up and hold them under anti-terrorism laws for encouraging rebellion against the state.”
