UK Government: Greenwald's Partner Had a Password Written on a Piece of Paper

I remember reading one of the first WaPo articles by Gellman regarding Snowden’s conditions and it said that he wanted the WaPo to publish the power point presentation in its entirety with an online cryptographic key within 72 hours so that Snowden could prove to a foreign embassy that he was the source of the leaks. This always stuck with me because it indicated to me that his real interest was in espionage especially when the contents of the power point were so unenlightening.

Then there was der Spiegel saying that it decided not to publish some of the information Snowden gave them because it would have revealed agents.

And as more information comes out about the contents of the information, his behavior with the Russians, etc. I really do think that this presents as someone who committed espionage and not remotely a whistleblower.

I don’t know what Greenwald’s involvement in this is. It could be that he was just used but he hasn’t behaved earnestly throughout. I don’t trust Assange or wikileaks as far as I can throw a piano.

I have been lurking here for a few months, having found you when a few people at balloon-juice suggested the debate was more rational here-which it thankfully is!
