Obama quickly needs to sit down with the Russian leadership and try to get a better understanding of their interests.

Russia’s interest is to regain their previous dominance over Europe.

If we want Russian support in the Middle East, we need to reconsider our current strategy on NATO expansion or the missile shield in Eastern Europe. We can’t have Russian cooperation on a strategy to prevent Iran’s nuclear program and the missile shield at the same time.

So we have to toss Poland under the bus so we can get Russia to play hard ball with Iran. It’s not in Russian’s interests to cut off one of their main buyers, but it is in their interest to f*ck over eastern Europe.

Personally- I think we’re capable of standing with Poland and Israel. Russia, at this point, is not an honest player.
