It’s a sad fact of human nature that authority is frequently brought to bear, not against those against whomit ought to be used - who can be expected to make a lot of noise, fuss, and trouble - but rather against those least likely to cause harm or agitation.

It’s why small-town cops spend their time on traffic violations instead of trying to bust up meth rings.

I still don’t expect a lot of American bishops to be able to send the police around to talk to bloggers any time soon.
