Whatever you think of Obama and his presidency, he has two young daughters, and I’m sure their parents protect them as much as possible.

However, the girls have friends. Those friends have parents. Who may have seen the tweets and reacted in a way that caused their kids to be aware. Who then may have texted/called/e-mailed the Obama girls. Who would then have been terribly upset and traumatized by this sort of thing.
