With 200,000 people dead in a horribly mismanaged pandemic I’m having a hard time giving a shit about an award show.

Jimmy Kimmel had a great opening monologue about it. He says he’d been asked why they were doing it, and was it necessary to have one now. And he responded that none of them were ever necessary. But they are meant to be fun, and meant to be a diversion. And people needed both right now.

My wife is watching them, and a whole lot of other people are as well. And they are doing it at home. I suspect there are too many football watchers not at home.

And we all have our diversions. Mine is making way too many comments here.
