Well, I’ve had my excitement for the day…

Nothing like driving at 4:00 a.m. on the 405, very light traffic and listening to music… freeway bending to the left, I’m in the carpool lane which is open to general traffic until 5:00… and around the bend is a pair of headlights rushing to met me!

I quickly move right… the oncoming car moves also across the lanes.

“Pick a FUCKING LANE!” I say out loud (pretty sure I was yelling)… and we pass each other separated by one lane.

I pull all the way to the right and stop, reaching for my cellphone. Just as I grab the phone from my pack, a State Trooper also comes around the bend. I look in the rear view mirror and can see more light coming up the freeway behind in the distance, with other cars trying to get out of the way of this asshole. I think the “pack” then moved off the freeway on an exit ramp - wrong way of course.

Coffee? Naw, I’m good for now…
