There was a family legend that two of them were my grandfather’s siblings who would have died before he was born but my mom’s cousin told us that wasn’t true. I just can’t imagine that. The people of the world endured a terrible war only to have one of the worst pandemics in history. May your Grandpa RIP and always be remembered.

And it was during the war, with soldiers either dying from the flu or bullets.
