re: #248 ProGunLiberal

My dad’s side kept marrying within the small genetic area for so long that I suspect inbreeding occurred in a particularly severe way. My Norwegian Great-Grandmother likely introduced the Autism and Bipolar Disorder now so prevalent in my family. It’s interesting to see the mental instability on Dad’s side compared to my mom’s. And further interesting to note that the mental disorders are more prevalent among descendants of my biological Great-Grandfather than my step Great-Grandfather (My Great-Grandmother divorced and remarried. Another Dutchman, but one with a Ancestry from the entirety of the Netherlands, not just the small northern region of Groenigen).

I think Autism is largely genetic.

Gotcha. I don’t know though. I do believe autism to be genetic but i don’t know if it’s imbreeding or not that causes it or even if it runs in certain ethnic-national groups. I can’t tell which side of the family it comes from since as I said I can’t see traits of my Asperger’s in any relative.
