At some point, I wonder if they really care how much it hurts them, as long as they can drag Clinton down with them. They might see it as worth the pain, long as they leave the impression of ‘both sides same thing’.

I strongly suspect their overall plan is to just keep digging into the emails with the hopes that it will lead them to a “scandal” the finally hits pay-dirt. Hence the sudden fascination among wingnuts about talk that the FBI is looking into corruption charges against the Clinton Foundation. Like Whitewater, they keep hoping that if they can’t manage to get the Clintons directly, they can do so indirectly via “guilt by association.”
