A felony can be a relatively light offense. So you wind up with people that have committed three “stupid” felonies going to jail for life while murderers who have committed only one felony getting 8 years on manslaughter after a plea bargain. You also wind up with overcrowded prisons such as in California.

Ok….. maybe if I had two felonies I probably wouldn’t commit a 3rd, even if it’s a light one? Just sayin’.
