It’s interesting because what’s happened in OC has happened more or less on a state level with Virginia.

I suspect if there was a party with something like a socially liberal, economically conservative (read: low taxes) platform, it’d probably do very well in Orange County (and from what I hear parts of Silicon Valley). Basically a socially acceptable libertarian party (without the gold standard or other cranky bullshit).
