Karl had an excellent analysis of capitalism, imperialism and society as it existed in his day. Much if it is still very applicable. Pity his pie in the sky Utopianism for solutions got taken seriously before being massively twisted by Engels, Lenin, etc.

Compared to her though, he was a thoughtful pragmatic voice of moderation.
