Whipples are one of those things where I strongly get the impression that surgeons just feel they have to do something, so they may as well go big or go home. Where I’m at, they have two full surgical teams, six or so surgeons who do nothing but Whipples full time. I haven’t seen one cure pancreatic cancer yet, but results with different conditions are better.
