Before LGF turned left, anytime there was a tragedy of this sort, the LGF comments section immediately filled up with assumptions that the killer was Muslim. I remember my wife being savaged by the other commenters for suggesting restraint when there was no evidence to suggest such an accusation.

And Charles knows I hate The Pam Gellar/Robert Spencer crazies as much as he does (some of their commenters still threaten me and my wife to this day), but to suggest that this mass murderer was inspired by the same madness that drove Breivik is a similar sort of irresponsible speculation that used to happen here. Why even bring up any possible connection (political or tactical or anything) at this point?
