I’ve read some pretty good articles on the land line issue. The essential argument that comes out is that telephone polls (well some hit cells now, but not many) always trend older and whiter, and thus, somewhat more conservative.

Which is obviously because, socio-economically speaking, older white people are more likely to keep the same landline number for years or decades than anyone else.

My parents have had the same phone number since 1969.
