If other recent presidents haven’t succeeded in uniting Americans, how the hell will the Romney have a hope in hell of doing such a thing?

His remarks betray a contempt for people who he, wrongly in most cases, think have no personal responsibility. And he’s lumped in the working poor, elderly, college students, even the working class that does pay fed taxes (payroll) into one giant group of leeches living off the hard work of people like himself. How does a guy who dismisses half the country claim the ability to represent all its people?

Scariest of all he still may win; he shouldn’t of course, but if he can convince enough RW identity voters that he’s “one of them,” there’s certainly still a shot.
