I’m not surprised by anything he says. What surprises me is that it works. I had not thought this many Americans were so easily duped, so hungry to be led by a Strong Man who promises to hurt all the people they’re afraid of, so easily swayed by such a ridiculously over-the-top buffoon. THAT has come as a shock.

My opinion on his supporters is they are abject cowards. Afraid of everything. Even as they are armed to the teeth. They need protection. And all these years the mantra of the hard guy right wing was “those who give up Liberty to…blah blah blah. Cowards. Can’t even go to the store without packing to protect themselves from the….just what? Yeah. We have a large slice of stupid angry at all the wrong people.
