I had my usual Sunday call from my 95 year old uncle this morning. A sweeter man never lived, and he is pretty frail now. But he was watching the St Louis Fox station, and was disturbed by all the violent people coming over the border, and how we needed a wall. I spent some time talking to him gently about it, and just by doing some questioning got him to wonder a bit about what they were telling him. There oughta be a law against that sort of thing: elder abuse, scaring old folks out of their drawers like that.

Depressing. At least he is too sweet a person to be obstreperous about it.

So, last evening as I was feeding the animals, noticed “my” deer herd strolling across the field. I didn’t do anything sudden, as I didn’t want them to start running across the nearby road. About 20 in this bunch. (Sorry on quality; post-sunset phone photo at a distance.)

My wife does elder care. It’s unbelievable how many of her clients watch Fox.
