It wasn’t “founded on racism”. Much more accurate to say that in the 50’s-60’s William F. Buckley had some racist ideas. He later repented of these. NR has had some problems when it comes to race, but its pieces on racial issues over the past 20-30 have not been racist. Derbyshire hate-bomb did not, after all, appear on NR’s website. That being said, National Review should fire John Derbyshire for having written it.
