Since the JFK assassination I have had expectations of the secret service. Anyone willing to take a bullet to protect a president always seemed like a noble knight with a higher purpose. It is disappointing if true.

People need to be wary of putting others on a pedestal, because, sooner or later, they’re likely to be disillusioned and disheartened.

Even Secret Service agents are human, full of foibles and flaws.
