I read a Nixon biography in the spring. Still no conclusions one way or the other. I don’t think we’ll ever know. The one thing we all agree on for the most part unless you’re Roger Stone with a Nixon tramp stamp is that he botched the handling of it.

they really thought they could not only hide it but bury it while
- they didnt realize they were leaving a not too hard to follow trail of paper
- they hadnt quite figured out how to not answer questions/ not be helpful (and they werent good at lying / deception)
- there were too many people involved - eventually someone was gonna slip or outright crack
- no one expected there would be a mark felt
