New driveway free-of-charge; or, they do a half-asses job and you’re stuck with an unexpected expense?

The guy from the water authority was just here, and he confirmed that the water main was cracked and leaking. He said the mains in our neighborhood run under the road, so they’d probably dig a 3’ x 3’ hole in order to get to it.

We do have Belgian block edging the end of our driveway, and I suspect that’ll take a hit. But the crews around here usually do pretty good work - one of the perks of paying high taxes. We’ll probably have to lay out to get the Belgian block put back in, though.
