You and I are old enough to remember schools that actually taught children. I recall sixth grade American history spending an entire half a semester on the history of South America. I recall reading Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring and learning about Darwin and how his ideas came about. We frigging learned Plate Tectonics.

We are really paying for the cuts in education that started under Reagan and continue unabated in the name of Lower Taxes.

I find that to be such a stupid statement. F’n stupid. Things my 9th grader learned last year:
