Ah, great. Those guys are tops once you get them talking about their experiences. I knew a B-24 pilot for a time which I mentioned above. Never wanted to talk about the war much. He read a lot of westerns, started a retail research group on Wall Street that got a good following, became a mayor of small NJ town before he died.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My wife’s uncle was with Patton in the 3rd Army. He is over 90 and is only now talking more freely about it. And that generation is dying away. it’s a shame.
