These people don’t get that all vehicles see their fuel economy suffer in the winter, not just electrics. My Subaru gets 5 mpg less in the winter, because it takes longer for the car to warm up to optimal engine temp even if I’m doing the same drives I do during the summer. That’s a 10-20% drop in fuel economy. But range anxiety isn’t a thing because there are gas stations?

These know nothing extremists are tiring.

He’s been on a tirade recently about solar and wind power, disseminating all sorts of lies about how bad they are. I guess electric vehicles are next on the dumbifying agenda.

Most people who own Teslas already know that cold weather reduces their range. The control systems give you an estimate as soon as you switch the car on.

Regular car batteries don’t like cold weather either. If your battery is not fully charged, is low on fluid, or just plain old, it will not start your car. So, following Jim’s line of thought, we should go back to horse and carriage days.
