It’s what I said this morning, a Dem win tonight will be spun as “concerning” because it wasn’t a blowout and thus Republicans aren’t losing ground. They’ll declare that Ed simply was insufficiently appealing to the “working class” voters, even though he appealed to all the same things that Trump did and ran a Trump-style campaign. And the ultimate conclusion is that we can’t draw any conclusions from tonight that don’t look “bad” for the DNC.
