Here’s Berner logic: The guy whose campaign has admitted it couldn’t hope to do better than 30% of the vote in the primaries, and whose surrogates have blamed his subsequent losses on shadowy efforts by the party leadership to force other candidates out of the race so that only one candidate is running against their guy, is generating enough “enthusiasm” that he could totally beat Trump in a landslide if the party gives him the nomination.

They really have no idea what they’re doing. They probably thought that the other campaigns would just stick it out indefinitely like Bernie’s. Second campaign in a row that Bernie will lose to a “terrible candidate.” Maybe 78 year old backbenchers who aren’t even Democrats from lily white states whose default personality is grumpy aren’t good presidential candidates.
