Rough day at work yesterday…got to see first hand what it feels like to get thrown under the bus. That’s some seriously fucked up shit. Probably my worst day ever - worse than when I got fired, even. The good news, though, is I’ve learned that I can’t trust any of the other managers, and that they will, any time they feel it’s expedient, use me and my team as a scapegoat. Ahh…teamwork. It’s a wonderful thing.

It’s good to get fucked over. Builds character. Now I can return to work with my head held high and focus on making the changes that I do need to make to improve my team and repair what damage to my reputation that I can (I discovered I have some gaps in my visibility throughout engineering and the company). I like my boss…I can be frank with him.
