I worked with a half-Japanese guy (and babysat his kids, etc. etc. etc.) for years.
I’d known him for about a week, and some idiot in the company wanted to know (behind his back) what his “ethnicity” was.

Since I knew he was within earshot (next cube), I said “Mexican”.

I’ve never seen a short guy get his head over a cube wall that fast ripping me a new one.
With a smile on his face … he thought it was funny, too.
