re: #261 thedopefishlives

Not just of their own making. They’ve been repeatedly screwed by their so-called brothers and the regimes in power in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and the rest of the ME. Those regimes have kept the Palestinians in camps, radicalized them, exploited them (both political and as cheap labor), and otherwise treated them as non-citizens even though most in those camps have lived all their lives in those camps and never actually were born or lived in territories that now comprise Israel or the territories.

Israel is actually the least of the Palestinians’ problems. Israelis would have no problem with a peace deal if there was a true peace with a 2-state solution. Problem is that the Palestinians themselves via Hamas and Fatah (now comprising the Palestinian Authority) reject a 2-state solution and seek the liberation of all Palestine (referring to Israel’s creation as the naqba for example). Problem is that the foreign countries refuse to grant citizenship to those Palestinians in the camps even though they were born decades after Israel’s creation. Israel’s enemies in the region perpetuate the hatred and further radicalize the Palestinians and fund the terror campaigns (using Hizbullah, Hamas, and PIJ as proxies).
