I just wonder when do we stop making excuses for people like Sacco. I don’t want the woman’s career ruined but I do think she deserved to lose her job over this and I do think she needs to learn a lesson or two in racially sensitivity. The other thing that people who want to paint Sacco as a victim of zealous internet people is ignore is that Ms. Sacco chose to put that tweet out there. She knows better than anyone else as a PR professional how public Twitter is. This wasn’t some teenage girl on livejournal or facebook. This was a professional woman on Twitter.
