IIRC, he did something (bariatric surgery, maybe?) and it did have a marked effect. While that softball uniform is far from flattering, I think he still looks like he’s way down from where he was.

As far as fat shaming him: as much as I love Talking Points Memo, Josh has some real fucking shitbags for regular commenters. They can’t go one or two comments without some juvenile non-sequitr about Christie’s weight. There’s some really terrible people in those comments sections; not Pharyngula-level nasty, but close.
