I’m not shocked at all. Many of these guys are left overs from the original militia / survivalist wave of the 80’s. They grew up politically reading Howard Ruff instead of listening to Glen Beck. They are full of bile, and they know they are dieing soon. They see it as going out in a blaze of glory, and they are the scariest sort of right wing extremists. The holocaust museum shooter was no spring chicken either, so I’m not going to be one of the ones cracking jokes about their age. You can count on everyone right of center making light of it that way however to downplay it.

Men in their sixties and seventies are nothing to giggle at, if they’re in decent health. This is a terror attack we’re talking about, not going into the infantry.
