Probably not an albino. There’s a white-phase variant of white-tail deer. Recessive gene combination of some sort since “white deer” can have normal color fawns, and vice-versa. There is/was a herd with a lot of white deer around Senaca Depot in New York state for years.

Odd about Seneca. There was a small herd loose at Chemical Systems Laboratories at Edgewood. We always hoped it was natural.
