Ole Jim Bob Duggar got smacked down by the federal court judge yesterday. Josh’s attorney tried to get Bobye Holt (wife of an “elder” of Jim Bob’s Independent Fundamental Baptist church, of which Jim Bob is also an “elder”) counted as “clergy” so that she couldn’t testify against Josh. Because she had the lowdown on Josh being a sex abuser against his sisters and another girl starting about when he was 12. The judge was having none of it, and in his written order allowing Bobye Holt to testify, said that Jim Bob was being “self-serving” and her testimony can be admitted. Oh yeah, Jim Bob is “not credible.”

A jury has been seated and testimony has started. Here’s an article about yesterday’s testimony, which included showing the jury graphic pictures of the child sexual abuse material downloaded. Oh, and Josh’s attorney’s defense is “Josh isn’t smart enough to partition a drive and install a second system.” My response: It’s easier than ever, we’re not talking 1996 or even 2006 and boy, this really is a smack in the face against home schooling. For her part, the federal attorney pointed out that Josh switched back and forth from the secret partition to the Windows system to send messages and suchlike.
