yes GB flew F-104’s

took a brave one to do that

we called them “thud’s” cause we had them for support
one run and “thud”….so, we called them “thuds”

I thought the F-105 Thunderchief was nicknamed the “Thud” and the F-104 the “Widowmaker”, tfk?
