People got fucking pissed off when the Aurora theater shooter didn’t get the death penalty. Except for a number of the victims’ family members. The most vocal was Jordan Ghawi. His sister died in that theater.

A death sentence, to which I am vehemently opposed, will result in automatic appeals, millions of more dollars, and additional anguish.

I understand how people want the shooter to suffer, to die, to be erased forever. That’s base. It’s lizard brain thinking.
